Mine at 100% charge gets 175 miles of range (don't turn on the climate because that knocks it down to 160 miles), dealer says they are working on a fix. But won't look at the car.

You may want to look at the Hyundai Ioniq 6. Rated for 360 mile range on a 100% charge, and Hyundai's been doing $7,500 cashback to offset the ineligibility for federal credits. And if you're really lucky, your state won't charge sales tax—NJ didn't for mine.

There was no green deal passed, what passed into law was the IRA, that wasnt shoved down anyones throats, it only incentivized certain green products because nobody is paying for the envirinmental damage fossil fuels have done. Anyone can still buy gas cars. If you're whining about anything shoved down throats, whine about the taxpayer subsidies that have existed for decades for the fossil fuel industry, including funding the misinformation echo chambers you've been swimming in.
I agree.. I love changing up my Tesl with coal fired electricity

I agree, I suspect most people will do the same. When I go out of town, I rent a vehicle, going on long road trips, I pick up a Sienna for 35 bucks a day and put a couple thousand miles on it.

Not because the inconvenience of charging every 300 miles, but because I don't want the expenses related to driving 2000 miles. When I get home, I spent around 250 bucks on the rental and saved several hundreds of dollars worth of wear, tear, and depreciation.
What's the math on the wear and tear and depreciation on your vehicle in 2k miles compared to rental costs + fuel?

Where can you rent a sienna for $35 a day? I am in IL and it costs about $100 a day for a minivan

2024 Model is just $329/mo and ZERO DOWN. Wow thats a crazy good deal.

UPDATE: Ah OK , I see the caveat.

The StarDrive powertrain gives Solterra an EPA-estimated range of up to 227 miles.

I think 300 range should be the min these days but for the price - I think its still worth it.

Until they make an EV which fully recharges in 15-20 mins (this is the time taken to refill gas, use the restroom and grab something to munch on while I'm on long trips) I'll be avoiding these for now. As it stands, Toyota's hydrogen engines look more promising.
And when you can get an EV that recharges in 20 minutes, will you move the goal posts or be satisfied?

By the way, the latest Hyundais and Kia's can fully charge (10-80%) in under 20 minutes.

Seems like all wheels coming off of the crazy car prices! Hopefully, we also see some good deals on 0APR for purchasing as well!

Are you one of those clowns that thinks going electric on your cars is going to save the planet while china, India goes nuts on the abundant hydrocarbon supply.

I'd consider this for a third car for $150 a month with insurance and some charging included. I need to cover Dallas to Austin regularly enough and by the time I pay for a quick charge to get me the extra range needed I'm at $30 right there and I still have to deal with charging at my destination. Meanwhile, I can drive my gas car for $25 worth of gas non stop.
