this is how much it should cost. 80$ for few small pieces of plastic is way too much

Yeah 80 is absurd, it says right on walmart.com that msrp is $49.95 which this is still a decent discount on. The bits of plastic arent worth very much but the kit is designed very well and there is a THICK book of projects to do that teach kids about every single component in there. $25 is a steal for that much content.

The extra manual with projects 62-230 isn't at the link in the normal manual. It is at:

It has information on reprogramming the microcontroller block (including the original code), but the programming cable appears to have only been available as part of a discontinued kit. It is likely you could connect a USB-to-TTL cable in its place - though you would need to be technically inclined.
