I've owned several Jabra (and other) headsets -- only used them for PC (zoom calls and audio/music), so wanted to share some quick thoughts. I've used each for probably a couple hundred hours each.

Jabra Evolve2 40 (the model above this) is great. It's wired, but the quality is so much better than any of the wireless headsets. Noise cancelling is great, the flip up/down to mute/unmute is great, and you'll get a lot of "Wow you sound good" comments on zoom calls. I don't know how the Evolve2 30 compares, but the 40 is awesome.
The one-earcup was a preference of mine for these, but YMMV as some prefer the dual-earcups. If you're just using it for talking/zoom calls, the 1 works great.

Jabra Evolve2 75 - A big step up in price, and wireless.. I like the fit of it, but the audio is pretty bad for dialog. Microphone is nice, but audio comes across tinny and compressed every time. Big step down from the Evolve2 40 in terms of voice quality, but improved in comfort. For MUSIC listening, it's great -- but once the microphone enables, quality goes way down.

Jabra Evolve2 85 - Another big step up in price, and wireless again. My favorite fit of them all, but the microphone is super annoying and terrible to use. If it's not angled right, people won't hear you at all. MUSIC sounds great, but once you turn to talking and the mic comes on, the quality dives again.

If you want a good microphone/headset for zoom calls or similar, the wired ones (like the one in OP, I assume) are great and so much better than the vast majority of $200 gaming headsets out there.
Noise cancelling is from the mic not how many ears it covers.🤣🤣🤣
No, this is Patrick.

How effective can noise cancellation be when there's only one earphone? 😹

How odd...

I just picked up a set of the USB-A mono version for $6 last night at the Goodwill.

This thing is awesome for MS Teams (my company won't pony up for Slack *sigh*).

The best part is the little control pad. I took my Sony stereo headphones and plugged it into the Jabra mic port. Now I can have stereo for music with volume and mute buttons within reach.

I plan to switch headphones as my mood and need change.

It's worth it just for a mute button that I don't have to search for.

My older Jabra headset had the in-line controls (mute, and I believe volume/pause) but the newer ones don't have it anymore. I'm not sure if it was a common point of failure, but I even did a few calls with their team since I was planning to purchase a handful of newer headsets and it seems that was a feature of the past. The newer ones typically just have the USB cable itself and the controls are on the headset itself (some with gestures like "raise to mute", "Lower to unmute"), but I always loved being able to hold the "remote" and basically be able to mute/unmute easily during calls without having to raise/lower it or use a key command on a keyboard.

These are very good headsets for the money. I've tried every wired headset under $100. These are the standard we purchase for our US based customer service agents.

Currently what I use at work is a Plantronics Blackwire C3220 - would this be an upgrade? Also what is the return policy? Is it basically the same as Amazon's even if opened?
