it's that the ethernet connection from the monitor will pass through usb-c to the laptop, so it gives the laptop a hard wired internet connection when plugged into the monitor

Ips, Ethernet, 90w usb c; this hits all points for productivity! Gaming will suffer due to 60Hz (you really want >= 120hz) but otherwise solid monitor for a new price

It also has built-in speakers. Plus 3yrs warranty. Excellent deal.

The USB A's are down stream ports, therefore you must have some sort of connection to the main PC to make them work besides the USB C. I used a mini display port connected to the monitor and at the other end a USB A connected to the main computer so now I can use them as charging stations.
i connected the disport port from the desktop to the monitor without the USB C port connecting to anything then the USB A port is not working. However whenever I connect the USB C to my laptop or even I connect it to my phone, all the USB A port is working. It is an interesting finding there lol.

Anyone try the steam deck on this? No video output. Seems a common issue with LG.

Bummed. I ordered this monitor, paid for it, it shipped, then somewhere between Staples and FedEx they lost it in the desert. Anyone else have this happen?

Does anyone know how to keep power going on the USB-C even when the monitor is off? My Macbook stops charging when I turn off the monitor.
Just keep the monitor on. Similarly, I have a wireless mouse with a dock that I charged on my old KVM monitor no problem with things connected off, but when this has no display there is no way to get the USBs to keep power. I've got to return this today.

Changing my mind, driving 3440x1440 is too much GPU to really care about the Hz if you arn't dropping $1k on a gpu, then you woudn't be contemplating a $250 monitor purchase. But my old monitor also doesn't seem to charge when nothing is on and connected so I'm keeping it. I always keep monitors on and my m1 macbook would stay charged, but if I put my work laptop to sleep or turn off my desktop it seems to shut down the connection and shut downt he usb power on both moniotors I have

check the energy saving settings (manual: https://www.lg.com/us/support/pro...77QB-B.AUB) -- try disabling the "Smart Energy Savings" or "Deep Sleep Mode" and that'll likely keep power going to the USB ports (A and C) when the laptop puts the screen to sleep

Without an active device? Like if your desktop connected via usb-b or laptop via usb-c isn't connect or is off? Mine definitely does not have power with those settings off. If I just lock my laptop it will still stay on charging (I think that is the Deep Sleep)

Mine had those two, plus a Display Port cable. I don't have a long enough usb-b to a and need to order one of those

Ergonomically this thing is amazing. One point connection and PBP are awesome. Sadly, this thing causes me crazy eye strain. I've fiddled with settings and my eyes just feel blasted after looking at it for a minute. I've been staring at screens for 30 years, never had an issue like this. Not sure if it's the curve (I've always had flat), or something else, but it's a bummer to take it back

I returned it last minute because of the same, I think it is the backlight uniformity I noticed mixed with the 60 Hz, I'm used to higher than that and to better backlights. Now waiting on some sales on the U3425WE

I also had a DP-HDMI cable plus a plastic cable clip that attaches to the stand.

For a PC go into advanced power settings and enable USB and when the monitor goes into power saving mode the USBs will still be active for charging, etc.

Anyone else has trouble getting the USB hub to work?
I tried a few laptops with USB-C port. None works. In Device Manager, it says "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).
I also tried on a desktop with USB-B cable connected, same error in Device Manager. I searched online but none of the solutions works for me.
Wonder if my monitor has defect?

Try a different USB-C cable (needs to be both data and charging capable USB-C cable)?
