That is not true. You can check the Amazon price history yourself.
Way over prices at 100 but it was sold for that much for a year and then dropped in September dramatically.

FYI.... in-store prices near me (Atlanta, GA) have been even lower; I just bought 10 of them from the Cumberland location Northwest of ATL @ $19.95/each! Just took care of a bunch of people for Christmas 2024, lol.
Even the $30 online price is a great deal though; these things are tanks; I bought two of these when they dropped to $30 in-store and I love them.

I bought a couple of these lights three months ago for $19.99. I returned them a few days later, the lights would not stay up, they would slowly fall down when clamped. The head is heavy and the clamp is metal. It is mounted by a metal ball and is not strong enough to hold it own weight and just slowly falls to the bottom, with no way of tightening. These were never $100 at costco. Deal is just regular price. My stores no longer stock. They have moved on to the Coast 3 pack of 1000 lumen flashlights for $20. Decent flashlight. Coast finally moved into the real world and have switch lockouts!

I bought this the last time it was on Slickdeals; I think it's great. Super bright and can clamp on things with force enough to hold itself horizontal or vertical without slipping or tilting.
I can't say much about the battery because I have nothing to compare it to, but I'd say it lasts a few hours. I believe you can use it while charging, but at the lowest setting, which is still pretty bright.

Did you try tightening the 4 allen bolts on the retaining plate behind the ball? Worked for me, although I haven't used the light much yet.
