I am under the impression that a well maintained gas powered will outlast a battery powered on in terms of longevity

I've had en Ego mower for 6 years now and it is still working. Not having to worry about winterizing a gas mower has been worth whatever longevity might be lost. My winterizing of Ego is to put it in the garage like normal. Then in the spring, it just starts up instead of having to futz around with oil and figuring out why I can't get it started. I grew up with gas mowers and the Ego has been much nicer.
