I've been wanting a rotary tool and thought I'd go with a WEN that comes with a flex shaft, variable speed and case for $22. But a dremel for cheaper is tempting. For a premium tool this is cheap. If it showed how many amps this thing is it would make deciding what to do easier.
Anyone care to help me decide? A flex shaft is in my future if I go WEN or not.

It's 1.15A (at least that's what I have), but why do you care? This tool is about speed, not torque.
Have it for more than 15 years. Great simple tool, but at this price point I would pay extra $5 and go for WEN.
Flexible shaft is "eh..." unless you do engraving: I got WEN few years back because of shaft, but never used it. But case is a game changer. Plus WEN has variable speed (helpful in some applications) and more accessories.

To me, it's worth buying a nice rotary tool with a case, and yes it is worth paying more for speed adjustment. I have owned mine for over two decades and it is not a tool I use that often, but probably the tool I use most often after my cordless drill/driver. It's very versatile.

Eventually the starter case is insufficient because you have more cutting wheels and polishing attachments than will fit, but the case means you always know where the tool is.

They have a lot of cool attachments, and they do go on sale from time to time.
