This exact product is one of the worst offenders of post covid inflation and shrinkflation at the same time. The previous version had to get pulled from shelves for a recall related to a cancer causing chemical. So what did they do to their customers as a result while it was pulled and reformulated? They redesigned it to give you way less product AND double the price, so quadruple the price per unit of spray. And the new spray mechanism is awful to boot.

Deodorant in general has gotten ridiculously expensive over the last 5 years. It's insane

I can relate. My 7 blade razor only has 6 blades now. It's total B.S.

And I assume you have checked to see if the formulation is basically the same, costs of the ingredients are the same etc. Also that due to the new formulation, is it possible its now more concentrated?

I assume you have done you "research" and know all of those answers.

They did it across the line, re-sku'd even the non-recalled versions and are charging 2x what the previous price was. You can Google P&G's boastful statements about "resilient" consumers, its about as bad as McDonald's statement about their customers.

So I have to ask, why are you so defensive about some well deserved criticism on prices? Do you have some vested interest?

This is right, but there also isn't anything we can do about it. I suppose a person can switch brands, but this phenomenon has happened across the board.
