In the discussion (for the K270), someone asked about the receiver -
And received this response:
If that's correct, it looks like you need a K270 specific receiver for these
The K270 is part of the Logitech "Unifying" ecosystem; a single Unifying receiver can pair with (theoretically) dozens of devices. Unifying receivers have an orange square with a black star inside; you probably already have one or more. If you don't, they usually DO come bundled, but can be purchased separately for about $10 before discount.
why would I buy a wireless keyboard without the Receiver?

I can see everyone returning this thing as it will be useless without a receiver.

Dear ThunderThighs et al,
There are 2 editions/versions of this keyboard, where LOGI didn't bother re-numbering the M/Ns so a customer can be sure and easily tell them apart.
• One uses a model-specific nano-receiver, and the other
• uses the LOGI Unifying Receiver.
Can a Woot Representative confirm that the products images shown are correct, that the editions/version being sold by Woot is the one that uses the Unifying Receiver? If so, it wouldn't matter that the keyboard being offered for sale does not have a receiver, as my household has extras from other LOGI devices we own.
Thank you for your time.

Hello. Per the vendor, this model uses the model-specific nano receiver, not the unifying receiver.

Any unifying receiver can pair with any unifying device. 6 devices can be paired on one receiver. You can remove devices anytime. The device needs to have the orange logo on it.
If all you want to do is pair the device, you can go to https://logiwebconnect.com/
Options plus software is great if you are a power user and want the added functionality.

Edit - if you have a unifying receiver you can pair it to that I assume?

nevermind, use the coupon to make it $8.99
Yes, unifying receiver rocks!
The k270 is a good enough keyboard, but I've seen this price or better including the mouse.

And to pair the keyboard with the receiver, you use the Logitech Connection Utility (for non-Unifying devices):

This should be a huge caveat to this deal. Essentially doubling the price, which is nearly the same price as a brand new MK270 (K&M combo).
I guess this makes more sense if you already have this keyboard & receiver and the keyboard broke, or something.
