As a hobbyist woodworker for years, I despise this type of furniture and hate the consumerist mentality so many people have. So many high quality pieces of real wood furniture are available used via Goodwill, Facebook marketplace, or habitat ReStore for similar prices but nobody wants to go through the hassle of finding those types of deals and default to items like this that can be discarded after a couple of years.
As an extremely busy person who understands the nature of the world we live in, I understand why paying this price for an easy-build furniture piece makes it appealing for many. I have some pieces like that in my house right now and can't judge people for taking advantage of something that is just easy.
Just don't expect this to last for long and definitely don't let it be exposed to moisture and you should be happy with it
