Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.
Tried again on the website and was able to order one just now.
Better than buying the Costco WI-FI only version for double the price!
You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.
Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.
The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.
When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.
And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.
To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.
Good luck

Then again the curious me wanted to check if it would actually work. So I added a new phone to cart and selected port in with a fake port in info. I did not add my card info and did not complete the order. I logged back in from another browser, and lo behold! I was again ineligible. Damn. Then chatted with an agent who said he saw pending port order in hold, and only one order can be placed at a time, and not before that order goes thru and I activate the new line. So the only way for me to be able to add line was to clear all pending orders in Metro system. He asked me to call port department to cancel the port which also took couple of calls worth about 2.5 hours total. Finally the port agent cancelled the pending port, and also escalated the issue to order back office team to cancel the rest of the order. After several hours, I checked and I was. Then able to see the link to add a line.
Then I saw the new listing for A9+ which was OOS at the moment and became available this morning, and I was able to place the order successfully.
I was bummed I didn't get the cheaper Samsung tablet but I'm tempted to get this for $70.
My payment is due tomorrow 04/06 per online account and I have no intent to renew.
But very tempted to get this.
Don't ask me how I know this...
