Tried ordering online multiple different ways (wifi on computer, data on metro phone, incognito, different browsers, etc.), but keep getting error: "Your security is important to us. Unfortunately can't complete your order online. Our award-winning Mobile Experts are ready to assist you. Please call us or visit a store to continue." Called and agent wasn't able to process multiple orders as well. Suggested going into the store and said I wouldn't be charged anything additional. Not sure how going to a store would be any different to be able to place an order for me. Any suggestions?
I had run into similar issues previously whether it was adding additional line or ordering via new account for someone else in the family - new to Metro. After several chats and calls, I think I narrowed down the root cause. It turns out when you are logged in and ordering anything but do not complete the order (even if you only added to shopping cart and not provided your credit card info), Metro seems to take that shopping cart session as a pending order. Once you have a pending order , you WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO ADD ANOTHER LINE. When I first got my new Metro service, I was able to see Add A Line link and in the beginning, I just wanted to test out website ordering, so I added stuffs in to my cart, forgot to remove, and next time I logged in, the link to add line disappeared. After that I was always seeing "not eligible to add line" message. So yesterday, due to some scumbag phone agent giving me wrong information about needing to switch plan to switch device (and still revert back to original plan 2-3 hours later), I lost my $25 unlimited plan. So after several calls and chats, an agent was able to get me the best option - $40 unlimited plan (I was only able to see limited data plan formless than $50). That somehow cleared my previous incomplete orders, and I was again seeing the link to add line.

Then again the curious me wanted to check if it would actually work. So I added a new phone to cart and selected port in with a fake port in info. I did not add my card info and did not complete the order. I logged back in from another browser, and lo behold! I was again ineligible. Damn. Then chatted with an agent who said he saw pending port order in hold, and only one order can be placed at a time, and not before that order goes thru and I activate the new line. So the only way for me to be able to add line was to clear all pending orders in Metro system. He asked me to call port department to cancel the port which also took couple of calls worth about 2.5 hours total. Finally the port agent cancelled the pending port, and also escalated the issue to order back office team to cancel the rest of the order. After several hours, I checked and I was. Then able to see the link to add a line.

Then I saw the new listing for A9+ which was OOS at the moment and became available this morning, and I was able to place the order successfully.

Even if it ships don't you need at least 1 day to activate?

I think you should put not 49.99 price in the title but 69.99 as a new line of 20 bucks is required.

All 3 iPhone 12 I ordered have shipped next day and delivered within 48 hours. 2 day UPS delivery.
I was bummed I didn't get the cheaper Samsung tablet but I'm tempted to get this for $70.
My payment is due tomorrow 04/06 per online account and I have no intent to renew.
But very tempted to get this.

If you're not an existing customer, can you become an existing customer by activating another device first and then try to take advantage of this deal, or do you have to wait a certain amount of time before you're qualified?
Yes you can. You just need to have an account with one active line. FYI, Metro usually seems to have a limit of 2 offers per person/household in a period of 6 months (not very clear on this one, but this is the general idea). So if you didn't have 2 promotional devices in the last 6 months, you should be eligible.

Don't ask me how I know this...

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.

Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.

The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.

When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.

And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.

To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

Good luck

So the need to be a customer. I assume I can't just create an account and then get this deal? I'm interpreting this as I must have an existing plan and this would be secondary right?

How does this tablet compare to the a7 lite besides screen size. Is this at least more usable?

Great price and specs, but wished it was PLUS variant with 8 GB RAM instead of 4 GB. I'll keep rocking my Tab S6 8 GB.

I think this is definitely better than a7 lite. Some reviews even suggest this to be better than s6 lite. I have a s6lite as well as a s8, but for this price, just collecting. Maybe use it as a gift someday. Not everyone needs the latest and the greatest chip and ram. The 695g and 4gb on this should be sufficient for a lot of people as long as you don't do heavy gaming or editing.

So if I picked up a Moto stylus 5g from metro 6months ago with just 1 month of payment, currently not paying. Does that count as "currently have metro"?

Not sure if you can get both on the same day online, but from previous experience at Metro stores, you might be bale to get both at the same time in a store. But the stores kill the deal and kill a little bit of the person inside with their nefarious attitudes.
