I think you should put not 49.99 price in the title but 69.99 as a new line of 20 bucks is required.

Saw it added to their website yesterday but it was not in stock.
Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.

Tried again on the website and was able to order one just now.

Better than buying the Costco WI-FI only version for double the price!

Don't ask me how I know this...

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.

Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.

The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.

When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.

And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.

To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

Good luck

The cheapest plan if you don't care for a free/discounted phone would probably be about $30 ($35 before autopay), and if you add a physical sim, that would be additional $10 (not sure if you can activate via esim to save that $10). Wouldn't it be a better deal to just get the $40 ($45 before autopay) unlimited plan and get a free phone as well, then add the second data line with A9+, then remove autopay/cancel service? If you have a non-Tmobile line hanging around, you could port that number in and get the $25 unlimited plan, then add the tablet. This way you also get better deals at the free/discounted phones. Example: Port number and get Moto Stylus 5G for free. Without port, you;d have to pay $30+ taxes for the Stylus.
Looking at the Moto phone, it mentions 24 bill credits at 0 dollars. Think they will try to charge the full list price if I cancelled the service?

Updated the post with answers. But here it goes - you need to be an existing Metro customer, and activation fees is waived online.
Should put in the title + the price of whatever a current line costs + a 2nd line for a month

I'm sure times have changed but I could never buy another Galaxy Tab. I bought a Galaxy Tab 10.1 way back in the day and that thing was so ridiculously underpowered. Wasn't cheap either! Fool me once...
For the price, can't expect much right?

4gb RAM might lag for gaming, but this for media consumption is pretty solid. Emails, reading, YouTube, web browsing it works.

I've been reading about a touchscreen issues with these, but for the price people can get a solid deal.

I don't know where you are looking at, but most Metro devices can be had without such instalment or bill credits options. You simply prepay discounted prices and that's it. I am not seeing such things on the device pages on Metro's website. On the other hand tmobile does carry plans.

Put down an order. It is pretty smooth after login to account. But I don't know if I really need it. I have an iPad 9th gen now.
I'm thinking about both of those devices.

I'd say depends on use cases. If you want to play things Xbox or PS games over streaming services, then I'd go iPad for the smoother gameplay.

If you just want to do basic tablet stuff you could always sell the iPad and just go with this one, especially with it coming with 5g for on the go use too.

Either way, both should be good?

Not worth it for the price and specs.

Care to elaborate what is worth the price? It's all personal opinions. I have my expectations in check and I'm practical, and personally I think this is a great deal for the price, and I ordered without having any need for it, just because of the price, specs and the 1 month unlimited data dim which I will be using fully in my car's android device. I'm not asking for flagship device at this price. Just my 2 cents 🤔

I got two Samsung A7 Lite tablets from Metro in the last 45 days...

They both needed a working SIM to get past the initial setup screens.

Meaning you can't use it until a working SIM is in the device. You can't connect to WIFI either.

With that being said, I read somewhere that you can bypass this with a certain sequence of screen taps. I'm not sure but I think I read this in the previous Metro A7 Lite thread.
If it's like other Samsung devices, tap each of the four corners in this order: top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left. Repeat. Repeat again. (12 taps total). Then hold the volume down button for a second, and a "NoSimLock is unlocked!!!" message appears. You can then tap the Start button and continue with setup without a SIM card.

That sounds like what I read before.

At some point, this info will come in handy for someone.

So if I picked up a Moto stylus 5g from metro 6months ago with just 1 month of payment, currently not paying. Does that count as "currently have metro"?
This has to be a joke. lol
What part of "active " don't you under understand?

Then you don't get the tablet. You need a plan.
