Tesla is attempting to clear out inventory on existing Model Y. With the instant $7,500 tax credit, this is an up to $12,500 discount on a new Model Y.

Prices seem to be as follows: After the $7,500 credit and new discount, the Model Y RWD starts at $33,890, the Long Range at $37,490, and the range-topping Model Y Performance at $40,690.

Rebates depend on region. In California, discount is up to $7200 for RWD Y.

Ok look...

There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.
This is not as good as the March deal. They are all $1000 more expensive. The other discounts were available most of q1.
FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

If you want to see a fire sale, wait for end of year, they'll be selling these at a LOSS for the company. No one wants one and they are running out of parking lot space to store them.

Still happy about my $29k (post tax credit, no sales tax state) Model 3 RWD purchase in Dec 2023. It feels like a sports car to me and it costs about the same as a Corolla.

How did you get it for $29K?

Fisker has not filed for bankruptcy yet and are in talks with Nissan as an investor/partner.
Also, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) are currently looking into a safty matter regarding doors not openning.

Fisker could be gone, wait and see. Tesla is here to stay, deal with the "deals" as they come and go.

"New" cars will ALWAYS have miles on them in the USA as the government requires the dealships to test drive them before they place them up for sale.

Cheers,
2500 is preowned not test driven

I'd say now is the time to buy with the discounts. We bought one from inventory in march and incentives were great. We also got an extra 1k off due to the cyber truck reservation I had. We love ours

My son (16 year old) recently got license. Is it possible to buy car under his name (to quality for tax credit). I guess if I am the co-owner, we cannot get tax credit, is that right?
It's a nonrefundable credit. Does he have at least $7500 tax liability?

Regular dealers do the same thing. I've seen 5,000 miles on other brand demo vehicles at dealerships. They are sold as new with warranty starting at the mileage you purchase it at. There is always a discount. Not really a disadvantage unless the demo was treated like shit.

Thanks. He doesn't have that much income/liability.

The 260-mile range seems too short for people like me who travel 120 miles daily commute. If the weather is a factor, then realistically it's an even shorter range than that.

Don't worry there will be a GM or Ford Slickdeal deal somewhere, Oh wait they put their entire EV line on hold shake head
GM is resuming in june for the blazer after their disaster rollout and have announced incentives for bolt users to trade up to the soon to be produced equinox. Silverados are being produced as we speak. Ford screwed the pooch with an overpriced "mustang"

260 - 120 = 140, what am I missing? even if you charge to 80% that's still leave you at 60M of range left when you get home. Get a L2 charger and it'll be ready for you next morning.

Just look at the trends and the record high inventory levels. Combine that with the stock price. Doesn't require a crystal ball. Anyone who believed in this company over the last 3 years lost generational wealth.
