Ok look...

There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.

This is not as good as the March deal. They are all $1000 more expensive. The other discounts were available most of q1.

FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

260 - 120 = 140, what am I missing? even if you charge to 80% that's still leave you at 60M of range left when you get home. Get a L2 charger and it'll be ready for you next morning.
It's not really 260. And you're only supposed to charge to 90% daily. And not let the battery get below 10%.
Here's a good, real world scenario. Weekly, I drive 130 miles(each way) in traffic in my 2022 model 3 performance. When it's cold out, I can get to the location and have about 20-30% battery left. I need to charge on my way home at a supercharger(usually costs about $10). Keep in mind, that when I start my journey, I'm at 100% battery and range shows 301 miles.

what model was your Toyota?
I'm still driving a 03 Honda Pilot and 06 Scion xB as dailies, now I'm hesitant to even think about new cars
Had an 05 scion xB when I was 21. Put 6 screens in it, a PS2, an incredible system and LEDs. Friends called it the rolling rave. Those were the days.

honestly tesla just has to pass along the tax credit on leases and let people buy out their leases after a month and this would be a lot more appealing

Ok so I never was really interested in EV until recently I rented the Y for next to nothing from Hertz... And surprisingly I really like it. Serious question though... If Tesla actually went out of business would that effectively end the use of the car? No security or safety updates, unsupported software, etc. Also can anyone ballpark a price for installing the fastest charger in a residential garage? TIA

Why? The model Y already qualifies for federal discount and is discounted upon purchase.

Not everyone qualifies for the fed tax credit. For those that don't, you can circumvent it if the manufacturer agrees to pass on the tax credit as a cost cap reduction.

Went and test drove the Y a couple of weeks ago. Almost threw up afterwards. The car has nice acceleration but that stop and go feeling made me nauseous. has anyone else experienced this? I also test drove an Ioniq 5 and Ariya but didn't feel sick. Even after turning down the regen brakes, I didn't notice a difference but maybe it was locked out from being changed on their demo cars. Anyway that motion sickness is really the only thing holding me back from going with a Y

It's unlikely for Tesla to go out of business anytime soon but if you want to know what happens if they do, follow Fisker and see what happens with their cars since that company is on the brink of bankruptcy.
