There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.
FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

It's disappointing that some people paid $10-20k more for these cars. While they may be worth it, Tesla should at least compensate these buyers in some way.
Buyers remorse.

Wow and you're supposed to be staff? Who cares what you think as long as it doesn't violate policy. People enjoy the thread and reply to it. If you don't like it ignore it and move on. Does it make your job harder or something? Isn't this a community to Bicker about products and deals?
My AGI is too high to get the tax credit. Why can't I be poorer
Funny thing no one talks about is also MINIMUM income to qualify for the $7500 tax credit. You have to have made enough money last year, or this year to owe $7500 fed income tax. I was laid off last year so I didn't make enough to qualify.
For example if your tax bill after deductions is $2500 then you don't get $7500.
I commute 20 miles a day plus 800 miles a month for trips. Picked up a very comfy Toyota used for 8K that needed some work. 4K and a week later I had a very well running car. Insurance is 100/mo. Registration is 200/yr. It has really well thought out buttons so I don't have to mess with a touchscreen. Spare parts are a breeze if need be. I get an oil change twice a year which is done in 5 minutes while I sit in my car for $50.
I *could* drop 40-50K out the door for a Tesla, which would mean 800/yr registration, 200+/mo insurance, having to deal with a charger at home, or even worse out in public for 4x the time and hassle. The interest and return on my savings pays for my gas. However, I could go really really fast in this Tesla but that's the last thing I ever want to do because it's dangerous and I value safety for all things around me. I'd also rather reduce and reuse by buying used which is good for the environment.
So who are these absolute morons embarrassing America daily?
Well, you're talking about your 20-year-old Toyota beat-up versus the best brand-new, desirable EV on the market. Do you hear yourself? Not everyone is poor.
If you charge at home with PG&E, your price would be about 50 cents per kWh, your cost per mile is 16 cents. Suggest you look around for super charging. My Tesla super charge station costs 14 cents per kWh after 8pm. Even peak is just 29 cents ,way lower than PG&E.
Without solar, PG&E charge cost is higher than gas.
I traded in my MYP towards a VW ID.4 lease (free charging 3 years). The Superchargers nearest me were always 35-48 cents per kWh. The lowest cost supercharger was 11 cents per kWh in downtown Sac underground garage, but you had to pay to enter the garage. After a while it became too much of a snipe hunt to find the lowest charge rate.
I began to feel like my dad, proud veteran who will gladly spend gas $$ to drive two hours to the nearest base exchange to buy a lost cost item to avoid paying sales tax. 😁😁
When my Tesla was taking up more of my time than my kids, it was time for a change.
If you think this, you should open up a book to brighten your horizons. Tesla has $29B in the bank, and is adding billions more in the bank every quarter. Unlike Ford, Tesla actually makes a profit on every car they make by having a 20% auto gross margins. They are the most American made cars in terms of parts, and also the highest rated safe car by both American and European standards. They scored the highest score ever in the Euro NCAP. Unless you're against America and saving people's lives, I don't see any reason for the hate.
Damn. Want a SUV- lexus $47000 or Model Y $34000. Isn't it obvious to go with new technology Model Y. Despite the Nokia phone is all great. I refer go with new apple technology. That how apple become today.

I got model 3 for 53K in September 2022. At that time Y was selling for around 65K!
And the audacity to post your thread text in red!

So essentially the $7500 is not for the poor.
