Ok look...

There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.

This is not as good as the March deal. They are all $1000 more expensive. The other discounts were available most of q1.

FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

If you ever do start making a higher income down the road, you may find yourself feeling less inclined to lie about it on the internet. In the meantime, perhaps find a more appropriate outlet to discuss these insecurities?

Back on topic… I've never had a Tesla that wasn't riddled with problems, so best of luck to anyone who pulls the trigger on the reduced pricing. Great to see automakers dropping prices so much — tons of great deals to be had in the market right now.

These should be the prices before tax rebate, tax rebate is provided by the govt. , should not drive up the mark up's. In these price range, can compete directly with Hondas and Toyotas.

RWD should be priced $34,990
Long Range -> $39,990
Performance-> $44,990

Tesla owners , how much is the actual range?

330 miles advertised and being asked to charge for 80% gives 264. Cold weather impact another 20%? Gives 211 miles. Technically what is the range in summer and winter for someone in north east?
I do not get above 200 miles range from a full charge in the winter doing Interstate driving.
MY LR 2023
It starts out optimistic then reality takes hold. I must stop and charge ~every 160 miles cause that is when I hit the 20% remaining.

Charging EVs Now Cost An Equivalent of $17 Per Gallon: Are They Still Worth the Hype?

I bought March 28 lol.

But yeah end of q2 will be even cheaper. The closer we get to Juniper, the better.
But then we all would want to buy the Juniper version and wait more. BTW, it won't come out until late this year or early next year.

Then the risk of 7500 going away if there is a change in presidency come Nov elections

Evs are great if you wanna go to the grocery store 5 blocks away on a sunny day when you can find a working charging station that is,on a flat non bumpy road or else the bottom battery housing gets damaged and the dealer tells you to get a new one.
Who is telling you these stories? 😂

Same here. Cold weather and driving more on highways is the double edge sword. The new model 3 standard range can be charged to 100% every day. This should be the norm for every car and model. Unfortunately batteries either in phones, laptops or cars are efficient between 20-80% range… so we cannot take advantage of 40% worth of miles unless we use this 40% occasionally…

Imagine... the Texas Public Policy Center being a shill for Big Oil. No one could see that coming.

BTW it costs me $15 to fast charge for 200 miles of range. That works out to 7 cents a mile. If I drove a car getting 30 mpg, it would cost me 17 cents per mile.

Why do you think he's lying? The income cap isn't that hard to hit. I make twice the income cap. Don't be bitter.

So they do not show how they got that number. But that is not the reality.

Your article is complaining about the BILLIONS in tax credits given to hundreds of thousands of EV owners. But it does not mention the tens of billions in tax credits given to the big 3 oil companies.

Still happy about my $29k (post tax credit, no sales tax state) Model 3 RWD purchase in Dec 2023. It feels like a sports car to me and it costs about the same as a Corolla.
The only difference is the corolla will last 20 years and if you are lucky you won't have to scrap the tesla before 10.

Tesla makes the best EV. Elon pushed the industry forward. Elon is a clown. Lexus / Toyota makes the most reliable cars. If you have solar or cheap electricity (under 20 cents per kwh) EVs are the cheapest mode of personal travel over time even factoring in battery replacement costs. Cars are not an investment. The supercharging network is great. Charging at home is awesome. Anyone that thinks Tesla will die as a car company is delusional.

If you can charge at home, with solar, or have lower cost power an EV will save you money. Model Y is one of the best selling cars in the world, there is a reason for that.
