There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.
FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

I can fit 7 people in the pilot mate. And it's actually reliable and doesn't try to kill you.
Teslas are literally the safest cars on the road, with the lowest chance of occupant injury of any vehicles ever tested by NHTSA.
Further, accident rates using their ADAS systems are much lower than the US fleet in general.

oh thank you. I did not realize "you can use your last year income or you can use expected income for 2024. No verification needed at the moment of purchase." will someone chase after you when they find out you do not actually qualify for the 7500 immediate discount?
If your income is too high to have qualified for a $7500 POS credit but you took the credit anyway you'll need to write the IRS a check for $7500 (plus potentially interest/penalities)
Still happy about my $29k (post tax credit, no sales tax state) Model 3 RWD purchase in Dec 2023. It feels like a sports car to me and it costs about the same as a Corolla.
That's a slick deal. The sales tax alone is a pretty good deal on a car. Here in Colorado, your car registration is based on the price you pay for the car new, so you'd continue getting a bit more savings for years.

That's right. We picked up our model y last weekend, 7500 off was applied immediately. What is cool is that you can use your last year income or you can use expected income for 2024. No verification needed at the moment of purchase.
Btw, if anyone wants a referral for free 3 months of FSD - dm me, I can share the code.
I'm confused on one thing. It's stated that the rebate only covers what you owe up to $7,500. If you are purchasing the car based on this years taxes, which aren't filed yet, and receive $7,500 from Tesla, will you owe back the amount that wasn't used assuming you owe taxes?

Agree. I have 3 ice cars and one Tesla.
Cannot beat the tesla as a daily driver. I love messing with last minute mergers in Tesla. you are pretty much faster than everyone around you
i switch between a MYLR, honda civic, and honda accord.. and have no issue merging with any of them
if you aren't able to merge properly without a car that goes 0-60 in under 5 seconds, then it's a skill issue
