50L = 3.5# empty
65L = 4.75# empty
Coming from the 200D material used mostly. (I.e. backpack canvas)
Not for your trekking types for sure, but appears like a pretty decent starter pack for a new Boy scout (50L), however there is no way to "fit" this pack as the back straps are not height adjustable, meaning they'll grow out of it. But at this price, you can just pass it along to someone else.
The Slumberjack backpack "lifetime" warranty has all sorts of qualifiers/limitations, but that might be the case to weed out egregious abusers.
Anyone have warranty experience with them? Lifetime warranty from reputable company very important in backpack I think. (Jansport is stellar, think Outdoor Products very good, too.)
Also compare this similar, and well-rated pack, with caveat that straps not height adjustable causing problems for taller men (this might also be case with featured Slumberjack):

I agree with you. But after comparing the two i feel like Slumberjack is a bit well made than OP backpack. The OP packpack is also much lighter and smaller even though it supposedly only 3 liters smaller than Slumberjack. For me the better hassle free warranty would be the only plus point for OP backpack in this case

I'm not an expert in this area, but I'm pretty certain that *lighter* weight backpacks are generally coveted by enthusiasts and command higher prices (have strong, lightweight, "high-tech" materials). 3.5 lbs. (Slumberjack) is quite a bit of weight, come to think of it. This specific Outdoor Products pack is quite durable (from personal experience), but Slumberjack may be as good or better. Consider ordering both, return one, 90 days to do so @ Walmart.

I would take that as how much it weighs empty.
3.5 lb
Assembled Product Dimensions (L x W x H)
10.25 x 12.60 x 26.75 Inches
It's a normal way to type having to say lbs in this sense.
