Third of folk here debating on how certain water filters are not designed well....thus not pure enough....

Another third only drink soda, juice or flavored water....never plain water.....

The other third have at least once drank water from a garden hose on a hot summer day to quench their thirst and lived...and probably still do it regularly.....

Maybe nothing, but Brita's expensive (IMO).

This is the exact same item like the one Home Depot offers.
It works fine, has a smaller actual capacity, but also greatly cheaper than Brita's original products.
The best feature on this would be it is fully covered and has a flip lid. And the worst part about it was there's no "breathing hole" (a vent? I don't know the correct term for this), that when you pour water from it, it will have to take in air from the spout which makes it slower and basically defeat the purpose of a covered spout. However that's a easy fix, just drill a hole somewhere.
Some people mentioned the filter will not fit snuggly. You just need to use a bit more force to seat the filter and it should be good.

i wonder what's wrong with brita's own pitcher
that someone decided it was still worthwhile
to make and market a knock off.

Like everything else that's reproduced: the cost.

Overall rating of 4.4 / 5 stars. I think this pitcher is worth considering if you find it useful.

This makes a good pre filter for your other more expensive filters

Have you never seen generic or store branded items before?

Not sure everyone else's experience with brita but the last pitcher I bought I returned because it leaked around the filter.

This is the same exact one from HDX (home depot) clearance for $3 a while back. I'd imagine the filter comes from the same place too.
