It seems like on one network topups last 30 days from adding them regardless of billing cycle, and on another network they last through the end of the next cycle.
On shared data it seems like they just roll over for a single month maximum, regardless.
Kinda didn't expect this weirdness when they just say on their product page that unused topups rollover :3

I just chatted again and the rep said on Warp 5G the top up data rolls over to the next billing cycle. On GSM it's good for 30 days
Me - Does the network make a difference?
Shafeen - Yes, for Warp 5G it rolls over to the next billing cycle, however for GSM 5G it has a validity of 30 days.
Me - Really? That's interesting. Why is that?
Shafeen - It's how the parent-carriers rule it out.
I plan to switch to the Shareable 2 GB plan for $10/month. It's a little more but includes hot spot data if I ever need it in a pinch. One thing to keep in mind is that the Light Plan does not offer data top-offs at the same rate of $2/GB (the CSR gave me a whole table with various rates but it was $10 for 2 GB).
For those that have ported their numbers to US Mobile before, typically how long does it take?

I guess that the short answer is that there are no guarantees, but at least you won't be left scrambling to try to replicate an introductory discount to avoid a higher bill a year from now. That's what many who ordered the TracFone deal will be facing, as their regular price is 3 times the introductory price.
They have been saying for many months this pricing will decrease but who knows when.
Can you receive text messages like OTP codes from US entities, like a bank? Even if there is an extra charge for that?
Thanks in advance for any input.
According to some YouTuber, apparently if you get an international data esim (like from Airalo) and have US sim on airplane mode/turned off with WiFi Calling on, you still get text/sms via Airalo's data esim (like WiFi calling). I have not tested this but awesome if it works.

Personally I rather pay monthly for $10/mo for the 2gb plan that has $2/gb auto top-up - but if you don't really need data then maybe pay upfornt and save $4/mo
