Taxes and fees are included. This is the normal price, so no reason to rush straight into it. So long as you haven't done it in recent past, take advantage of the free month first. Just make sure to cancel it a few days earlier, as they will renew it at that monthly plan a few days before the end of the trial period. You can cancel that and replace it straight into the $72 annual plan from their dashboard. Just did it last month. Perfect plan for a flip phone.

This is not a new deal. They've had this light plan for ages at this price

Thanks for the info Smilie 5GB for $10 isn't bad, but it probably doesn't carry over
I think they do but rollover is……. really weird. And depends on which network you are on apparently.

https://usmobile.helpdocs.io/bill...rollover-2

It seems like on one network topups last 30 days from adding them regardless of billing cycle, and on another network they last through the end of the next cycle.

On shared data it seems like they just roll over for a single month maximum, regardless.

Kinda didn't expect this weirdness when they just say on their product page that unused topups rollover :3

Correct.

I just chatted again and the rep said on Warp 5G the top up data rolls over to the next billing cycle. On GSM it's good for 30 days

Me - Does the network make a difference?

Shafeen - Yes, for Warp 5G it rolls over to the next billing cycle, however for GSM 5G it has a validity of 30 days.

Me - Really? That's interesting. Why is that?

Shafeen - It's how the parent-carriers rule it out.

Funny enough, I was just looking at this yesterday.

I plan to switch to the Shareable 2 GB plan for $10/month. It's a little more but includes hot spot data if I ever need it in a pinch. One thing to keep in mind is that the Light Plan does not offer data top-offs at the same rate of $2/GB (the CSR gave me a whole table with various rates but it was $10 for 2 GB).

For those that have ported their numbers to US Mobile before, typically how long does it take?
Mine took literally just a few seconds. By the time I turned off my phone and turned it on again it was working. And I did this for 5 lines from Verizon.

LOL the rep I spoke with today said top ups for Light Plan are 5GB for $10, 1.5GB for $5 and 100mb for $2.

For anyone who thinks this plan would be perfect, if your iMessage, email, or Maps would keep working if you hit 1GB of usage - there's a data soft-capped 1GB plan, w/unlimited talk and text, by Good2Go Mobile @ $60/year: https://slickdeals.net/f/17412297

Can anyone comment on the international option for $24? Does it get you free roaming when you travel and free calling to certain countries?

Good morning, friend. I just pulled the trigger on this deal. I'm paying $20 a month right now for a lesser plan, so this is a good deal for me. It also auto-renews at this price every year, so no introductory price schemes involved like the similar recent Tracfone deal. I'm usually on WiFi so I don't need much data.
Thanks for the info BabyBubba! Is it confirmed that it will auto-renew at this price every year after the 1st year? Thanks

This is their regular price for this plan and not an introductory discount. To my knowledge they don't offer a price lock, so in a year their price could possibly rise or fall depending on the market. Cell service pricing has been decreasing for years, so I seriously doubt that we will see an increase. 5G came with the promise of much higher bandwidth efficiency, which helps carriers offer better rates.

I guess that the short answer is that there are no guarantees, but at least you won't be left scrambling to try to replicate an introductory discount to avoid a higher bill a year from now. That's what many who ordered the TracFone deal will be facing, as their regular price is 3 times the introductory price.

This is wrong, top-ups are much more expensive than that for the lite plan. Most of their other plans top up at $2/GB (which roll over). I couldn't find the pricing chart directly on their site, but it is on some reddit comments (replies from staff). $10 gets you 2 GB, not 5.

They have been saying for many months this pricing will decrease but who knows when.
They changed their price last week. In my US mobile app, under this lite plan, I see 100MB for $2, 1.5GB for $5 and 5GB for $10. I chatted with a rep. All purchased data do carry over (unused portion)

Does anyone have experience with any of these companies while traveling outside of the US?

Can you receive text messages like OTP codes from US entities, like a bank? Even if there is an extra charge for that?

Thanks in advance for any input.
As long as you enable WiFi calling (preferably while in the US and do a test by going into airplane mode and turning WiFi on), it will work while on WiFi internationally/anywhere. I do this all the time.

According to some YouTuber, apparently if you get an international data esim (like from Airalo) and have US sim on airplane mode/turned off with WiFi Calling on, you still get text/sms via Airalo's data esim (like WiFi calling). I have not tested this but awesome if it works.

They do carry over. My biggest concern with this plan is no hotspot service. You cannot share your data with another device

Not sure why this is even posted. This has been a normal plan of theirs for awhile.

Personally I rather pay monthly for $10/mo for the 2gb plan that has $2/gb auto top-up - but if you don't really need data then maybe pay upfornt and save $4/mo
