Yes. You will need one if you're putting this in a ps5. If you're putting this in a PC, your motherboard may already have a heatsink.

FYI: Double sided for those looking to put in certain laptops where space can be an issue (looking at you Zephyrus G14)

Here's a pretty in depth review.
https://www.techpowerup.com/revie...tb/19.html

Pros:
Fantastic performance
Very high sustained write performance
DRAM cache included
4 TB version available
Five-year warranty
Compact form factor

Cons:
No heatsink
Pricing a bit on the high side
Thermal throttling in both read and write
Very inaccurate thermal sensors

More specs for those looking for them: TLC, Phison E-18 controller, 2 GB DRAM, 5 years warranty

This may be a silly question, but how can I tell if this is compatible with my laptop? Lenovo Thinkpad T480

Should work fine but I'd get pcie 3.0 ssd that runs bit lower power consumption/ low temp for laptops. I usually recommend p31 for laptop but haven't really seen any deals for them after the ssd price increased. Feels kinda dumb to recommend pcie 3.0 drives for more money than 4.0, so I'd just grab any kind of cheaper one

2tb for $120? We need to stop feeding price gouging tactic. If you don't need it, don't buy it, otherwise the price won't go down.
