Some guy that was trying to sell me speakers said "One is none and two is one" when it comes to subs so I guess I'm in for two.
That is a good price on a 16" sub but it's still a lot of money for the average person. The 14" is very powerful and is only $699. The pictures don't do it justice. Look at the dimensions and the weight of the item. The 14" is huge. I wrote an earlier post about how it cracked my wall, but in a good way (meaning it's powerful and shakes the floor and walls)

There might be an easier way to do it, but the only way I been able to get the deal on adorama.com is to go to slickdeals and then type adorama in the search field then search for current deals. I have bought many things from adorama.com. It's strange but the only way I have found to get the deal is to go back to slick deals and search for it then click the link from there. If you go directly to adorama.com and search for the same item, the price is not the slick deal price

This is a crazy good price on an amazing sub. I bought it when it was on sale late last year and I have to keep it on about 6 otherwise it's *too* loud. It's heavy as hell (100ish lbs.) so take that into consideration if you're moving it up or down stairs like I had to.

Agreed. Amazing how this $1000 sub beats out subs costing $2-3,000 in output

I cancelled the rp1400 and got these instead since they are on sale now, what a deal. I've been running 2 sb4000s for the last 6 years but they sound like 8"s since I moved into another house. I contemplated either the PB16 or PB4000 but they never go on sale, they also weight 150lb & 170lb respectively so they are very difficult to move around. The apps on the SVS is nice but I honestly rarely use it since I mostly adjust the sub level with my preamp anyway. Reviews on youtube say this sub can hang with a PB16 but I HIGHLY doubt it. To be honest, I'll be very happy even if this thing can hang with the PB4000. These Klipsch also come with a 5yr warranty as well.

Wish the 14s were on sale when I bought my 16. I could have gone duals. This thing is massive and I can't fit a second without changing my very nice entertainment stand out for a smaller one.

Seems to measure well. From a quick look, it seems to performs better than a similar priced HSU vtf3mk5 and the higher priced vtf15h.

Had to watch a movie with my current subwoofer to talk myself out of needing this as a second. One day...

I have the SVS PB16 in the mancave and the Klipsch 1400 in the garage. The 1400 is likely more sub that you will ever need. The PB16 is overkill for me. The PB16, which is maybe a quarter step above the Klipsch 1600 in ability. If you really, really wanna go big, two 1400s is better than one 1600. If you wanna go anything less, a single 1400 will do. If you wanna go way, way crazy nuts in a huge room, then two 1600s is a the way to go, or three or four 1400s.

My garage is about 1200 square feet (4 car, double deep+, a bit extra wide, ~9 foot ceiling) and the only time I'd want to turn the single 1400 past halfway is when I'm standing outside of the garage with the doors open, a good 40+ feet away. If I'm in the garage and the doors are shut? 1/2 way up is PLENTY. I listen to many electronic and hiphop tracks that go down to or very close to 20hz.

Oh, and the PB16? It's in a much smaller room, a bit over 200 square feet, and I think I have it at -21 db.
