Not too terrible on pricing for brand new but I hate mine solely for the fact that it constantly needs charging and that's with constant display off. Most days I don't use it because it's dead when I don't remember to charge it every single night. I have an iPhone I'm not an Apple hater but jeez this thing needs more attention than a puppy.

Curious if you have the cellular version? I have the gps only s9 and I get 24+hours of continuous wear with the screen set to always on. I'm wondering if maybe it comes down to specific app usage or the cellular components using more battery.

Edit: At night I turn on sleep mode for sleep tracking to work which also turns the screen off for the night. So technically my screen isn't on for the full 24 hours, more like 16 hours.

You probably tried this before but just in case. On my iPhone if I plan on staying home for multiple days I'll turn on airplane mode (turn off cellular) with wifi turned on. The battery lasts significantly longer when I do that. It's because if wifi and cellular is turned on at the same time then the cellular radio will still periodically transmit a signal to the cell towers which uses up energy. Turning on airplane mode / turning off cellular causes that radio to stop transmitting and using unnecessary energy. I haven't tested it on an Apple Watch before so I don't know how much of an impact it would have.

Will try it. Not ideal for most users who want all the features but for what I do maybe.

This watch charges to 80% in like 40 minutes. Yes, you need to charge it every day, but it's not a big deal in my opinion, especially if you just charge it while you shower and eat breakfast or something.

Exactly, horrific for a modern electronic device.

I can attest to this. I like my Series 6 (GPS only), and even after a couple years the battery is holding up well... but it was never a long battery to begin with! For the 365 days in a year, I don't wear it even half of those days. It drains SO quickly, and it becomes a chore to charge. It's very nice and convenient, but many days I simply don't have the energy to baby it like you said.

Having to charge everyday on a modern smartwatch is insane tbh. This is poor engineering tbh.
