Don't be fooled by the $59.99 MSRP. This non license set can be bought at around $30-35 since mid summer last year.

At less than 3c / brick that's a steal. Most Lego sets are about 11c/ brick for non- licensed sets.

I was thinking about getting this set, but also saw there are some generic "Building Blocks" on Amazon that are compatible with the Lego brand for cheaper. Anyone have experience with the generic versions?
