For those who want free shipping and don't have Walmart+, he's what to do to bypass the $35 minimum order:

1) Preorder a video game https://www.walmart.com/ip/As-Dus...212591229? that won't ship for at least a month with your flashlight. This will put your total over the $35 free shipping threshold. You WON'T be charged for the game as Wally charges when items are shipped. So you'll only be charged for the flashlights.
2) When you receive the flashlights, cancel the video game order.

If I have a 3AAA device that I don't consider disposable, I use Amazon Basics NiMH AAAs - but maintaining piles of AAAs sucks. If you want to tinker, you probably want to go shopping for protected 18500s and hope the internal resistance won't be too low, but this will cost money. I hate 3AAA devices.

Oh, and ... 6D xenon Maglites are 178 lumens.

This might not be the best light in the world, but for less than 4 bucks, its a solid deal.

also, if you got little nephews or nieces and you don't know what to get them for their birthday, this is a great gift.

3 AAAs have voltage of 1.5x3=4.5V at full charge. 18650 at full charge js 4.2V and will discharge much slower.

The form factor of 3 AAAs bundled together is almost identical as to 18650. It just pops in there.

Got my order today and these are much better than I expected. Both are nice and bright, I turned the headlamp on looking straight at it and it was pretty blinding g I'm still seeing black spots 10 minutes later. The flashlight is metal and feels well made with about the same brightness. The headlamp is all plastic and feels a bit cheaper , but it is damn bright.
Nice deal for the $

Got the 3 pack of headlamps for around this price a few years back. Keeps the little kids entertained. I use them for glow in the dark games for our youth club during activity time. The red light setting works best.

Doesn't look like these have red lights.
