It doesn't look like the retractable cable is easy to replace, so that could eventually become a problem if you aren't gentle with the cable.

I would have much rather preferred that the AC cable was retractable.

Another consideration is that, generally, standalone surge protectors come with some type of insurance policy. If this has one, they aren't making it well known.

There other design is slightly better - it has 2 usb-c and 2 usb-a. Also less bulky and as above said, the retractable cable could degrade over time. Price point was cheaper also when it went to the FP

Yes, I have this one. My daughter had been using it to charge her tablet, and the retractable cable broke after about 4-5 months of use.
