If you already have a home base, do you need to use two separate home base or can you just use one for camera and doorbell?

yup. i got mine for nearly 3 weeks now after switching from a Ring Doorbell. The detection is very wonky, not that great.

Oh well.

I've had mine for six months, after switching from Ring. I prefer this and don't have the issues you have.
