Best way to take advantage is to combine with any challenge offers you have and a personal cup for 25 stars
1) play a stupid game which seems barely playable on certain devices.

Sheesh, the majority of their drinks are just coffee flavored sugar water at this point. They're not very good at all if you have them cut back on the sugar. The only thing I find consistently appealing is their nitro cold coffee with some heavy cream, but the level of speed in that stuff tends to destroy my ability to sleep nowadays (and there is no decaf version).
Next week they'll probably add a requirement that you must spin and win a roulette wheel in the store before they'll accept your coupon. Whatever young interns are running the promotions desk have too much time on their hands and clearly little understanding of how much BS most reasonable people will go through to save a couple bucks off their overpriced swill.
It's tedious- just offer a deal or not, Starbucks. Reading through this thread only tells me that this promotion is going to backfire, another big waste of time.

But really, this game is making you work for a potential offer they used to give away free that I never even took advantage of then. 50% off AFTER 12 NOON? Yeah, just trying to drum up biz during their low times, but making u work so hard for it too?! Hard Pass.
Also, their bonus star offers have really been weird. Years ago, my hubby used to get them all the time and I never got them. I even called Starbucks to ask why. They didn't know (it was not settings or permissions related, I said yes to every marketing & privacy permission Q they had). Then at some point it flip-flopped. Now I get the bonus stars offers & he never gets them. Because of that, he orders mostly from my app now.

The game description says 50% off a spring beverage (the lavender oat milk latte is really good!) but I just checked and my coupon says 50% off any handcrafted beverage so I don't think it has to be one of the special spring ones.

Thanks OP I already played earlier and got my coupon.
Scoring the points was easy - I played last time multiple times per day and every time received a 'could not be validated' error message after clicking "claim offer". Never received the 100 points. Look at the SD thread, lots of users had the same experience. This time it did work for me but appears others are still having the validation issue, which is very frustrating.

I had plans to use the coupon tomorrow, played the game this morning and I could have used it either today or tomorrow.
But yes I would say play the game the day prior to when you want to use the coupon.
