According to the filing[thestreet.com], the product L'Oreal calls "the #1 Collagen Moisturizer in America" is actually not capable of providing anti-aging results. That's because collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin, a fact that's been confirmed by many a dermatologist.
Hydrolyzed collagen supplements/powder can help from the inside out - "well-researched hydrolysed, marine-sourced, Type 1 collagen." Combined with vitamin C helps.
Ask your family/general physician to prescribe Tretinoin cream (generic for Retin-A). Very powerful and well researched medicine for better skin - can stimulate collagen production and skin cell turnover, evens skin tone and helps repair new and old acne scars, smooth out light wrinkles, etc. Just make sure you test a small amount somewhere on your face/neck since it makes your skin more sensitive. Absolutely need to have a good SPF 30+ moisturizer if going out in the day as your skin will be slightly thinner and receptive to sunburn easier.
If it helps, I told my new doc I was prescribed it throughout high school & 20's and it was the only thing that worked... which is true.
Most effective topical you can use for better skin as long as you can get a prescription. Generic cream is $15-20 if you shop around and the tube lasts a loooooong time. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for any of these benefits to look into Tretinoin and read people's experiences with it on any message board, Reddit, YouTube etc. It's better than $100+ OTC creams as long as your skin gets along with it.
Alpha Skin Care Renewal Serum also worked very well for me if you want something OTC.
You'll still need a good moisturizer to layer on top of these but that is much more preferential.

Murphy's Law here! I just ordered the smaller size of this last night, for more $$ since I'm out and price was good. Oh well, may as well get the larger size for back up…LOL!

I'm sensitive to fragrances and found this lotion to have a particularly strong one. I personally prefer fragrance free, I didn't pay attention when purchasing.
