What are the chances of getting a counterfeit from Amazon with their binning practices
How would anyone outside of Amazon know? The chances may be low now but not ZERO as you stated.

Oh ok so if I purchase it direct from Apple, how many percents chance I'll receive their genuine product?

You have a 32% chance of getting a legit Apple-branded product, given the widespread counterfeits due to inventory commingling.

this, and the fakes are the ones that are going to mess up the laptop..

I found a real oem on ebay (verify the model and the look of the text) and where the serial should be..

Since they expanded their relationship in 2023, please point to one verified instance of a counterfeit Apple product received from Amazon.
This is funny. I'm more confident of getting a legit MacBook Air from seller Amazon than getting a legit Apple charger from seller Amazon (when ordered as just a charger).

Well it's pretty hard to counterfeit a whole laptop lol. Not saying it's impossible but I wouldn't worry. A simple charger on the other hand.. I'd second guess that

Bought at $41.99 ($2 more) three weeks ago, SD tracker appears broken because it says price dropped today but it was a few days ago, 3 camels was accurate.

This is a legit Apple product, sold by Amazon. It is however just the charging brick so you need a usb-c cable to get the full wattage out of it, be warned some usb-c cables can only go up to 60w so look for the 240w rated ones, usb4 (which is usb-c), or thunderbolt 3 or 4

In case you're interested in a teardown of this adapter, see here [youtube.com].

No support for Programmable Power Supply (PPS) so no Super Fast Charging support regardless of the wattage.

Supported Power Delivery modes include:
  • 5V at up to 3A
  • 9V at up to 3A
  • 15V at up to 3A
  • 20V at up to 4.7A
Note that the peak rating above appears to max out at only 94W, but I believe this discrepancy comes from Apple's evaluation of this mode as supporting 20.5V at up to 4.7A (bringing the peak rating to 96.35W).

Also note that most USB-C to USB-C cables will limit current to 3A, limiting peak power draw to 60W. Reaching the peak power draw will require a cable with an e-marker to negotiate 5A current carrying capacity.

No PPS. No GaN. Big as a brick. But no would call this a poorly designed charger either. The only real debate would be around the price...

Good luck!
Jon

Would a charger like this be enough to keep a raspberri pi from complaining about under voltage, or keep it from crashing due to under voltage? (I just hate buying proprietary items like a charger, when so many other things have wide and flexible power acceptance these days)

Dunno where you get an "angry" vibe or "yelling" from any of my posts, but OK.

I'm still waiting for you to show me a legitimate report of fake Apple charger, recently purchased from Amazon (as the seller). Until then, my claim stands as true.

Unfortunately the answer is probably a no if what you're seeking is a way out of the Pi 5 power supply's support for 5V at up to 5A. As noted above, the Apple adapter limits current in 5V mode to no more than 3A. In fact, support for 5A at 5V is so rare that you are indeed effectively locked into the Pi charger for now.

Good luck!

Hard to believe that Apple finally caught up with the future and accepted USB C
