this, and the fakes are the ones that are going to mess up the laptop..
I found a real oem on ebay (verify the model and the look of the text) and where the serial should be..
Well it's pretty hard to counterfeit a whole laptop lol. Not saying it's impossible but I wouldn't worry. A simple charger on the other hand.. I'd second guess that

This is a legit Apple product, sold by Amazon. It is however just the charging brick so you need a usb-c cable to get the full wattage out of it, be warned some usb-c cables can only go up to 60w so look for the 240w rated ones, usb4 (which is usb-c), or thunderbolt 3 or 4

No support for Programmable Power Supply (PPS) so no Super Fast Charging support regardless of the wattage.
Supported Power Delivery modes include:
- 5V at up to 3A
- 9V at up to 3A
- 15V at up to 3A
- 20V at up to 4.7A
Note that the peak rating above appears to max out at only 94W, but I believe this discrepancy comes from Apple's evaluation of this mode as supporting 20.5V at up to 4.7A (bringing the peak rating to 96.35W).Also note that most USB-C to USB-C cables will limit current to 3A, limiting peak power draw to 60W. Reaching the peak power draw will require a cable with an e-marker to negotiate 5A current carrying capacity.
No PPS. No GaN. Big as a brick. But no would call this a poorly designed charger either. The only real debate would be around the price...
Good luck!

I'm still waiting for you to show me a legitimate report of fake Apple charger, recently purchased from Amazon (as the seller). Until then, my claim stands as true.
