I wouldn't say zero.
What are the chances of getting a counterfeit from Amazon with their binning practices
How would anyone outside of Amazon know? The chances may be low now but not ZERO as you stated.

Dunno where you get an "angry" vibe or "yelling" from any of my posts, but OK.

I'm still waiting for you to show me a legitimate report of fake Apple charger, recently purchased from Amazon (as the seller). Until then, my claim stands as true.

You made the claim in the first place. The onus is on you to provide evidence to support your claim, not the other way around.

Hard to believe that Apple finally caught up with the future and accepted USB C

Apple introduced USB-C on the MacBook almost 10 years ago in 2015. In 2021, they brought back MagSafe charging in its third iteration, which uses a USB-C charger as pictured in this deal thread.

this, and the fakes are the ones that are going to mess up the laptop..

I found a real oem on ebay (verify the model and the look of the text) and where the serial should be..
AND weight it too! I received a counterfeit 35W dual USB-C Apple charger that was very convincing and had a real serial number printed on it (it was the SAME serial number printed on there customers' review photos on eBay as well lol). It was damned convincing... until I found a YouTube showing the weights of common counterfeits and boom there it was! Same with Apple Pencils too... I wouldn't buy any of these off eBay ever again after both those items right in a row, and their listings even said "genuine OEM Apple brand" and eBay STILL refuses to take their listings down even though I sent them all the proof.

Amazon should be safe, but just in case you can always return it to them if needed.

Hard to believe that Apple finally caught up with the future and accepted USB C on the iphone. They should be proud of themselves.

I've bought OEM Apple chargers (including this one in the OP) and cases from Amazon, all legit. My counterfeit rate is 0%. Still waiting here for someone to show us otherwise, from a recent purchase. Ebay and Woot however, are flush with the "Aliexpress fakes" including very legitimate looking packaging. I have a collection at this point of fakes from eBay/Woot. Fortunately I've received refunds for all. Except for the fake MagSafe puck from Woot, which I contacted them about >30 days after purchase, and was only offered a $10 credit.

Why are posting in this thread? Did you buy this charger and receive a fake? Have you recently bought an Apple product from Amazon and received a fake?

Please add some value instead of rabble rousing.

Sort of... they're still pulling some shenanigans [macrumors.com] around which devices will be blessed with USB 2.0 vs USB 3.0 speeds.

Good luck!

Your assertions are correct - there's certainly provisions in place on Amazon to mitigate fake Apple products and other large brands they worked to get on their platform, Nike etc. these brands won't allow their inventory to be commingled.

As you said, if you stick with Amazon as the seller, you should be golden. Unless amazons crack returns team repacked a non-authentic charger someone sent back for a refund scam - but that's always a small risk for anything on Amazon

People are assuming that since counterfeits are a problem on Amazon, that all products/brands are at the same risk for this. That's just not so.

Your individual Amazon shopping experience is the irrefutable evidence to support your claim that there's a zero percent chance of someone receiving a fake Apple product from Amazon (with Amazon being the seller, not a 3rd party)? Out of the millions of transactions, it's just not possible for Amazon to send someone a fake Apple product, even inadvertently? Seems unlikely to me, especially given that many 3rd party sellers choose to let Amazon ship their items (i.e., fulfilled by Amazon), which means their inventory could get mixed in with Amazon's own inventory at the warehouse. My point is, be careful when making absolute statements, because they are almost always impossible to prove.

And yes, I and many others (based on Amazon reviews and reports online) have received fake products from Amazon (as the seller), which is one of the reasons why I cancelled my Prime membership. But I'm glad your shopping experience has been positive so far. Have a nice day.

No it will not explode your phone. It will provide the max current/voltage the device requests Smilie

Not sure if it's still available but on Best Buy I was able to get the 140W USB-C charger for a couple of dollars more in Open Box condition.
