It doesn't shave thatttt close. You'll have a 5 oclock shadow by the evening. And it doesn't cut like perfectly. Like you'll have to make multiple passes. It's a decent shaver though.
If you have the red Old Spice Shaver from back in the day, it uses the same charging base, which is why I like mine.
I'm being cheap though, the $70 shavers are probably better. And they last a long time. I had mine for like 10 years I think. I replaced it when I finally needed a new foil and the battery wouldn't last more than a couple days.

Only the Series 9 Pro has all of the "next generation" advancements. Series 5 is pretty middling, as it should be in the middle of the lineup, but not really an improvement over this model. Still, Braun has had this for forever, which says all that needs to be said about this shaver. It's an entry level electric foil that like others isn't the closest shave ever and tends to miss hairs, but still gets the job done.
This is handsome and a good value. I had the 3040S seven years ago—and probably returned it after dissatisfaction over irritation. The shave itself was okay, certainly fine for the price and low cost of consumables.
