Dells have issues, but the PSU and cooling problems you guys are mentioning are literal options you can change direct from Dell before you order - I don't even think you clicked the link.

It is a bit invasive as I said though as they send very targeted emails to you based on items you have looked at before if they have some new discount or if the item has a price drop.
The Dell XPS offer they sent was an email. and I honestly have not idea how to "trigger" the app to send you that email if you did install the extension. I'm not an expert here, but I don't think anyone can send you a copy of their email either as the email has a link to the retailers site that you have to use, and I believe they use the URL to credit your account specifically (I could be mistake on how this works, however).
Go back to overclocking and setting your room on fire.
There are no user fan control options. Models tend to rev up very loudly when opening up a few Chrome tabs. It's literally the loudest computer I've ever heard.
There's a ton of bloatware that steal more than 3GB from your 16GB of RAM. Yes, you can delete it but it's a hassle, especially when the usual MS and McAfee junk is already there.
The Killer wi-fi card give me issues with certain VPNs (IPVanish)

The power supply is fine for this exact computer's specification.
This computer was not meant to be upgraded AT ALL. Dell sells you those at a premium.
If someone from Dell, or more likely a third party hired by Dell, comes to your house and replaces a motherboard and blames it on the power supply without replacing the power supply that tech either:
1. Didn't like you and wants you to suffer
2. Lied to you so they didn't have to continue talking to you anymore.
3. Is terrible at their job.
You don't need a 1000w power supply for 99% of home computers regardless of what is in them due to advances in efficiency.
The only REAL way to upgrade this system is to replace the proprietery motherboard so you can use a standard case, standard power supply, etc and, you guessed it, that makes absolutely no sense when you can build your own PC at that point.
This computer is good for 90% of people and will never have a problem, 5% know what they are getting and understand the compromises for the price and will never complain, and 5% know very little and wonder why they didn't get a Ferrari when they paid Kia prices but don't realize they aren't even going to be going over 45mph anyway and will complain about it until they get educated later in life.
I will likely upgrade to the 4070, and likely upgrade to 32 gb ram in the near future. I don't see me upgrading this again until I buy a new rig 4+ years down the road.
That said, is a PSU upgrade a must in that context? Is the 750W sufficient, or would the 4070 require 1000W (not trying to future proof beyond the 4070 / 32 gb ram upgrads)? Would really appreciate any input on this!
Somewhere around a 600w, and the most important thing, and platinum efficiency and you'll be just fine.
Dell even did the Apple move of disabling things around year 2 an the support is dead at year 2 so they don't have to fix it.
Also let's not forget Slickdeals sold out; became a corporate junk drop off an more, an lost most their base around 2019.
I'd say a trailer park that sells rusted out an painted over trailers for 5% cheaper than others on a lot that dupont used to dump waste chemicals on is not the best looking living choice but I wouldnt tell that to the people living there cause dem might be fighting words 😝
Probably should build your own an not gamble with e-machine or dell motherboards/sound/usb ports. I mean unless this is to run a businesses cash register. Seems way over priced for that tho. An if it needs a working USB port to run the cash register. We'll you may be put $1k still
