It depends if you have a need to update the Processor in this bundle. Both the Z690 and Z790 boards will support the 14th gen series that just launched, but the Z790 will have more support for higher DDR5 speeds probably like the XMP/6000 and above speeds of the memory.

Does that really matter? Not so much but for 40-50 dollar difference I would pay for it and future proof. Higher memory speeds have a small measurable difference in gaming.

MC deal is also Z790, not Z690. The largest difference was 32Gb slow CL36 DDR5 vs 16Gb faster CL16 DDR4 for $50 extra. Also, VRM on MSI is better, OC on Newegg deal would be harder (why would you buy K CPU + Z M/B without plans to OC?). Anyway, Newegg deal is OOS.
