Some people go through and TD every post in certain threads for companies they don't like. It's the more cowardly version of thread crapping. It's childish and it discourages people from commenting.

Sometimes when I see it, I TU every post they've TD'd, just to balance out the universe.

Usually, there's a countdown and a screen you have to show on your phone during the countdown, not a code, for physical items.

Sometimes, the stores don't bother checking phones, but YMMV.

Last week's Shell codes expired 11:59pm ET on Tues night. Shell AltIDs expired Fri night.

If you might be interested, Shell AltIDs have 5¢ off per gal on Sat, Sunday, and Monday. PM if you want one.

I have excellent coverage in my area. And some of the freebies were quite useful. Also, I love that whenever I travel overseas, I do not need to get a local simcard just to use maps, search engines, emails, and texts. It is all free as it is included in my US plan. And I usually communicate with local people through whatsapp or texts for free. Occasionally when I call, it is only 5 cents.
