Apple is the Toyota and Honda of tablets.

Android are like Dodge and Hyundai.
Yeah, I don't like apple a lot, but I like them because their products last forever, and you can trade in and get a good chunk of money back

wish they would take my first gen iPad
I had a Gen one too, no updates, couldn't dump it anywhere, finally traded it in for a Samsung s6 lite for net price of $134, which was Ok.
IIRC your clock to accept Samsung's valuation starts when they ship and they instruct you to return your trade-in in the same box. I basically remailed my tradein within 2 hours and received my tradein value statement on the last possible day I could have declined and returned the new tablet to them...so just a heads-up.

Is it worth trading a tab S7+?
I would not trade in a S7+ for this. I actually have both tablets and still prefer my S7+ for all tablet-related activities and watching shows on-the-go. I actually would not recommend anyone buying the pixel tablet. I was expecting it to have the same functionality, more or less, than the larger Nest Hub Max and it turns out it does not. When I ask it to show a video feed from one of my cameras, it only shows it for a few seconds and then disappears. I'm not able to use it as a nest cam either like the max hub is allowed to. The battery drain on this is massive - it does not last long in standby/not being used or charged - so as a tablet alone it doesn't do a good job. The only "cool" thing that I really use it for is to cast videos from my computer to when it is on the stand (unable to cast unless it is on the stand) and then carry the tablet with me to another room.

This is the brand new version of the Pixel tablet with wireless charging. I've never seen it before. How can you compare it with your old one? Nest Hub product ended many years ago.

This is the tablet I have. I said I have both the S7+ and Google Pixel Tablet. I was comparing the Google Pixel Tablet to the Nest Hub Max since it is supposed to be similar in functionality but be detachable and allowed to be used as a standard tablet. I was just clarifying if you are looking to use it as a Nest Hub Max and then a tablet occasionally, it is still hampered functionality-wise. As a standalone tablet itself I don't think it's worth it if the user already has a S7+

Most things you describe are software settings or software updates as the same as iPad, iOS or Android. The stable version is normally 3th or 4th. Other than that I don't see the hardware performance comparison such as screen, audio, wireless, game and playback.

The software features are what Google relies on to separate their offering from a standard tablet - hence the highlight of their lack of features and it doesn't look like any of the aforementioned lack of features are coming to the Pixel Tablet. One of their main selling points has been it's a nest hub but with a removable tablet - at least that is how a lot of people have viewed it.

From a hardware perspective - the screen is inferior to the S7+ (you can look up tech specs if you'd like but S7+ is OLED and larger screen and pretty sure higher resolution). The audio is not great without the speaker stand - it's serviceable but the stand is needed if you want to blast the sound. The wireless would probably be comparable - not anything someone will notice a difference in. Game - S7+ should still be able to handle the current game library on Android - gaming on tablets hasn't been a priority for me, and if it has, it's been mostly streaming. Playback??? What does that mean? Also the battery life is a joke on the tablet.

I'm saying, without a doubt, the S7+ is a superior tablet to the Google Pixel Tablet from personal experience as an owner of both tablets. Only benefit the pixel tablet has is the charging dock - much better experience if your tablet is going to live in one place mainly - but to replace an existing tablet, I don't think this is the right choice.

Can you use your S7 as Nest Hub Max like Pixel. Does your S7 have the latest Android? Your comparison makes pretty much non sense. If you don't like Pixel why you are in this thread. Sell $200 your bundle pixel on eBay to see that true value.

Email I got said up to $450 back. I assume it's for an ipad that's probably $500 new? They don't want my ipad air 2 that still works and my wife uses. I don't buy Apple anymore.
Same here, mine still works and I use it for basic stuff.

I'm simply answering the question someone asked if the pixel would be a good replacement for their existing tablet....you're the one who is coming at me like my input and opinion are of no value. My comparison is based in reality. I'm purely educating people that if they're looking to buy this as a tablet replacement alone, it might not be worth it, especially coming from an existing somewhat recent tablet.

Google's trade-in process is like sending your phone/tabs into a black hole where iPhones mysteriously transform into 'not-iPhones,' and the trade-in value magically disappears faster than you can say 'Google it.' Save yourself the headache and steer clear of their trade-in circus!
