Not sure if there's a play here, but I found Samsung.com is offering $500 for an unlocked Pixel 7 128GB via Tmo's trade-in offer when purchasing an S24.
It depends, if Tensor chip is OK for you get pixel. If Tensor chip is bad for you, get OnePlus. Really what stops me from getting Pixel is that some people say Tensor is not bad, whereas some people say it's terrible.

I agree, OnePlus 12R can get a free Buds3, which is very good in terms of sound and call quality. People may buy Pixel 7 Pro to take photos. Pixel 7 for $400, it's a bad deal.
Sam's Club was clearancing out the 7a a couple weeks back for $279. I bought one - or thought I had - but the employee came back from the storage area and said that she couldn't find any in back. And that she didn't remember *ever* seeing any in back.

tensor isnt bad, it's just not Qualcomm Snapdragon good. its also optimized for all the google AI stuff. Also if you prefer a better camera go pixel. if you prefer clean stock-ish android go pixel. If you prefer having full control of your device, bootloader unlockable without bs, access to android beta program, and to be able to flash security patches without waiting for a slow OTA rollout go pixel. If you want android updates AFTER the manufacturer gives up support go pixel (you can flash third party roms like lineage OS and get newer android after support ends).

No, what's I meant is how lot of people, even with Tensor G2 and G3 were reporting bad battery performance, and modem issues. Lot of people still report those today with Pixel 7 and 8. Reddit is filled with them.
I love pixels, ive used them since the pixel 1 and even the nexus line of devices

I agree, good camera even with much earlier models and a like the true Android interface and control to do what I want to do. I hate the Samsung interface and restrictions. If I want to aideload an app, it's always a lot bigger hassle on a Samsung! If you take advantage of the Google apps, Pixel is the way to go!

In this case, if someone wants to buy exactly Pixel 7, it's a good deal.
