A 300-nits 240Hz 100% DCI-P3 QHD+ display is average to you? You need to educate yourself.
The 4080 jump from the 4070 is pretty significant this gen. If main priority is gaming, I would go with this Alienware.
I don't think your 1300 nit phone is going to be bright enough on the sun either though...

Just under 3 hours of battery life, am I reading that right....? Is that with normal use or with gaming, I know its got beastly specs but I was expecting more battery life if that is with normal use and not gaming? Really tempted to replace my desktop at home with this so it wont matter much, but would be nice for the occasional trip.

I have an old 1070 Alienware and as long as you turned off the dedicated GPU it would last a lot longer but that version ran really hot all the time. It was depressing given how much I paid for it. I'm trying to research this vs the legion.

Ye makes no sense. Aren't Ryzens supposed to be efficient and the dGPU inactive? The screen isn't crazy bright or OLED either. With 86 Wh this thing should have Macbook-tier battery life outside of gaming. Either Nvidia or Microsoft or AMD or Dell screwed up in the pipeline. Or all four, which is somehow plausible.

Destroyed your plans on going on a romantic picnic with your laptop in full sun playing on battery like a nub

Maybe you'll break out of silver someday
