The cap on the drinking chute actually screws down and has a decent gasket..
The magnetic part is just how it stays flipped open when you drink.

I have this bottle from the last deal and love it. Doesn't leak. Keeps things as cold as my more expensive yeti and hydroflask bottles. I love the cap on this one though. Easy to screw on and off and magnet holds the cap open and out of the way when you are drinking. The best part for me is the cap screws on and off silently so I can keep this bedside and take sips at night without waking up my wife!

Fits in a 2019 Ford Escape and 2020 Nissan Rogue (both are sort of, won't quite hit the bottom of the cup holders due to the slope). Does not fit in a 2011 Subaru Outback or a 2007 Saturn Sky

I've had one of the previous generation bottle (only halfway painted, half stainless steel) for years and they are freaking indestructible. Keep in mind you need to screw on the cap to keep it from leaking. The magnet keeps it from whapping you in the nose while taking a drink. Lots of negative reviews don't seem to get this concept.

Haha same! I thought I had lost one so I ordered another but wasn't so lucky the second time.

These are great water bottles and the best part is they fit in a normal cup holder. That's the real selling point with these.

These are my new favorite water bottles. I already have 2, and now in for 2 more.

My hydroflasks dented from just looking at them the wrong way... these have withstood several (significant) drops with no issues, and the cap is fantastic.

Mine has leaked, but it's always been user error. Two things: make sure you have the cap (for the mouthpiece tight) and occasionally the gasket can fall out of the lid. Square away those two items and you won't have an issue. Mine has travelled 50k+ miles on airplanes...the pressure has never been an issue.

I carry it empty through TSA, then get coffee on the other side of TSA, and pour it into the bottle.

How does the quality compare to hydroflask from costco? Had a costco thermoflask get rust on the inside of it.
