used to play elixir, but started playing EXP's in this gauge on both my PRS SE ZM and My Gibson LP Studio. EXP's are also expensive, so in for the full limit of 4 packs of these. Should be good for a few years of casual nightly playing. Thanks!!

Argh, electric…but still great strings. I just prefer heavy electric and light acoustic. Makes it easier to go back and forth Wink

Started playing lighter strings on my Telecaster not that long ago, and it makes it feel so much easier to play. I assume it's because there is less string tension. This seems like a good deal.

Anyone know what the difference between Nanoweb and Optiweb coatings is?

Think that is the price for the acoustics. These ones (electric) are $30 for the pack of 3 (not $25.33 as OP stated).

Any way it's academic as the deal is over sadly

Yes, this is the perfect gauge for a 25.5" scale guitar. On something like a les Paul with a 24.75" scale, I typically go with the next gauge up. I have the same question as you do about the whole nanoweb vs optiweb. Maybe it has a little less wax, IDK. They also have (or had, not sure because I haven't purchased them in a while) polyweb ones too. Believe those had extra wax on the stings and felt a little strange to me. I just remembered liking nanoweb more a few years back when I did a taste test and stuck with the nanos since.

Nope. Regular MSRP for a single set of Elixer electric strings is about $15. Maybe the bundles are cheaper or the 9s are cheaper than the 10s but if Im buying single pack of Elixer strings, I expect to pay about $15 or $16.
The 10-46s are $16 each, comparable pricing at sweetwater and Guitar Center
