You can see the expected parts list on Cooler Master's [coolermaster.com] site and compare their retail on a site like PC Part Picker [pcpartpicker.com] if you want to tightly evaluate the retail component price vs. this pretty solid deal.

As a bonus, you're getting a system with standard user-replaceable parts. No custom motherboards, cases, power supplies, etc.

Good luck!

That's a solid price for a prebuilt.

Per the link shared above, the motherboard should be something like an MSI Pro B760-P WiFI DDR4.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P...-WIFI-DDR4

Note that the prior generation of HAF 5 Pro models Cooler Master used a GIgabyte motherboard.

Good luck!

looks like a solid deal to me! if it was DDR5 or a 4060ti it would be a killer , but still, this is still good

Why DDR5? It can be even slower than DDR4. Anyway, for 12th gen i5 the fps difference will be minimal.

The RAM is indeed DDR4.

Thankfully AMD's continued support of the AM4 platform continues to extend the time over which DDR4 remains relevant.

Good luck!

Because DDR5 typically suggests a newer chipset and thus will generally have better features. It will also guarantee the ability to upgrade to the 14th gen.

The B760 in this could have had DDR5 but doesn't, indicating it's on the budget side. That doesn't bode well for gen 14 support.

What features? Older z690 supports ddr5... you can build pc on older chipset, on older chipset, ddr4 which will be cheaper and faster than newer...

This motherboard absolutely supports 14th gen. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P...upport#cpu

I think this was someone applying an older conventional wisdom standard (Intel having spent years on platforms engineered to support no more than two CPU generations) before checking something like the support link you provided.

Thanks for sharing the link.

Good luck!

4060ti option also offers $125 coupon which brings the price down to $986.2. Is it worth the price?

Thanks. That's very tempting. Waiting to hear what people have to say. Looking for a new pc to do normal stuff. Maybe play a car mechanic simulator at the most. My 2008 hp elite desktop is on borrowed time.
