I'm currently on a plan for 3 years for $99 ($2.75/mo). Had I known how much I'd love it, I'd have taken the additional deal they offered while I was signing up online. That deal added two more years for $25! I was afraid cancelling would be difficult, so I passed. Now I'm kicking myself but I still hope it pops up again at the end of my 3 year subscription. That would have been 5 years for $124, or $2.07/mo.! ❤️ '70s on 7'

The wording for this promotion indicates it will not auto renew at the regular rate, it won't renew at all unless you take action.

Just to add a note here about making comments about "it's not illegal" ...

If you're in California, it *is* illegal to not allow cancellation via online methods if you were able to sign up via those same online methods. I pasted the law at the bottom of this message. While it used to be impossible for me to cancel a SiriusXM account without endless running in circles, the past two times I've been able to click a button in the "Account" section and cancel without having to talk to chat or get on the phone. If you live in CA and can't just click a button, you absolutely can file a claim, though that process is clearly more involved than cancelling an account, so the choice is yours on that. Still, in CA at least (maybe other states as well?), it IS *technically* illegal.

"The revised law (California Assembly Bill 390) requires businesses to comply with two additional requirements for cancellation and notice:

Cancellation: Online consumers must have the ability to cancel their subscription immediately, and be able to do so through either (1) a "prominently located direct link or button" on the website or (2) a preformatted email that the consumer can send to terminate the subscription without taking any further steps. This requirement is more specific than the previous "easy-to-use mechanism for cancellation" and was implemented to prohibit "further steps that obstruct or delay the consumer's ability to terminate" the renewal.

Notice: Businesses will be required to send a more robust notice as to free, discounted or promotional pricing that lasts more than 31 days. Specifically, the notice must clearly and conspicuously disclose that the subscription will automatically renew, the length of the renewal period, how to cancel, and the contact information for the business. If the initial trial period lasts for one year or longer, the notice must be provided between 15- 45 days before renewal. Otherwise, notice must be given between 3-21 days."

Back when I used to have Sirus there were different levels that had different channels. Is this just the basic or does it include everything?

This is the easiest service I've ever had to cancel you just click a little button and it cancels it for you and they even will offer you 3 months free if you stay with them and then you can cancel again and get three months free sign up now for a wonderful experience
Are you sure you are talking about Sirius? I have never seen the cancel button and it does it without getting to CS to have them try and keep you.

It used to be you had to call, but now they do it on the chat as well.

Can anyone else confirm?

I think it's hilarious people are still giving them money. SiriusXM decided decades ago their customers don't matter. They haven't updated their infrastructure in decades. I mean, if you like listening to low bitrate mono audio in your car..........

As I pointed out (in detail) before the post you're responding to, if you're in CA (at least), there's an actual "cancel" button on the account screen - it's legally required.
