There was a similar deal back in Dec. 2023 for $4/mo for 24 months. People were able to cancel their current plan and then turn around and pretty much immediately sign up for that $4/mo plan. I did that.

This was that deal in Dec 2023. https://slickdeals.net/f/17173822-siriusxm-platinum-deal-4-per-month-for-24-months?v=1

Will that work with this?
According to my plan I cancelled in early April, doesn't look like it. I have a 2015 vehicle.

They asked where I saw the deal and said it didnt apply to me. Ended up getting it for $57 for 12 months not as good but better than I was paying. I refuse to pay the $12 in fees that they charge. This is so annoying that you have to spend so much time with these people to get a fair price

The agent insisted this cannot be applied for vehicles newer than 2016. Such BS. I gave up trying

Good timing as my free trial is ending in couple days.

Chatted with them but I was told I am not qualified for this offer. Perfect reason to push them into a cancellation.

It did take 30-40 mins though.

Are you sure you are talking about Sirius? I have never seen the cancel button and it does it without getting to CS to have them try and keep you.

It used to be you had to call, but now they do it on the chat as well.

Can anyone else confirm?
Might be a CA thing. They have a new law this year that requires a cancel button for services that provide for signing up through a website. Seen people change their address for various services to fake a CA address and the cancel button magically appears.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank MrWrigleyField

I used to call in every 3/6 months and "cancel" and regularly they'd offer me 6 months for $30, etc.
Then I found out how to refresh your car with 3 month trials on GitHub. Plenty of info out there if you search.
Haven't paid for XM in 2 years.

Same here. I have a vehicle which hasn't had service for 2 years and they would not give me this deal.
Very strange.
What is the difference for my account?

$3/mo is about what I would pay for SiriusXM. Put in my account info for my '21 Bolt, offer changed to $5/mo for 12 mos. Hard pass for the bait and switch.

Thanks for this; was able to chat and finally get in on one of these deals. Premium was never worth it for me so getting $2 less per month and not having to think about it again for 3 years is excellent.

It's for new subscribers only, but I can't get around the account number entry? I have the radio ID, but no active account. How are you supposed to sign up for this?

Aside from the slow "fast" charging on the road trips we take a couple of times a year, by far the most efficient EV out there. My lifetime average over 23k miles is still over 5 miles per kwh. No regrets paying about 24k for it 2 years ago, but man, you can get one with low mileage for about 14k out the door now with the used EV rebate.

I cancelled my Bolt radio. Had to say cancel like 6 times before they would do it, listen to offers, etc on chat. Required chat to quit. Took maybe 5 minutes. But can't get this offer going. May or may not sign up again. Converting to podcast listening. Do like coffeehouse and NPR.

Is there a way current subscribers can take advantage of this?
I had a plan of $5.99 for 36 months and was about 14 months in. I tried chat and they tried to "upgrade" me to the same plan for 12 months starting today… got off the chat and called and they initially told me the same thing. Just stayed persistent and finally the lady went on hold and pressed a few buttons (you could hear the phone number buttons going every so often) and came back after 2 minutes and said they will update my plan to $3/month for 36 months starting today. So it worked for me. Hope others can take advantage or have similar results

Edit: FWIW this is on a 2019 Ram 1500 so if they say only for old radios (which they initially said) they did it for me.
