There's a 3 months platinum for a dollar offer as well. Anyone know if I can cancel right away and keep for the 3 months? It says until the end of the billing period, but for all I know that's one month or immediately since I already paid? I dunno, hoping someone else does.
The last time I cancelled before a trial ended, the subscription was still active until the original end date.

I have been a customer for at least 15 years. We had two car subscriptions. I asked for the deal and was denied so I canceled both subscriptions believing that it was due to the fine print stating an inactive radio; however, that was not the issue. Every rep/manager I have spoken to or via chat have said they don't know which deal I'm referring to and then when I get past that, they claim that it is only for vehicles 7-8 years or older. I share that it doesn't state that in the fine print but continue to be denied. Any tips or tricks to receiving this deal?

What happens when you try to sign up through the link as a new subscription?

Whenever I try it says I'm not eligible and tries to get me to sign up for $5 per month. I have a 2019 vehicle

Thanks for the reply. It only states it has to be an inactive radio. I hate to give up my $3.99 per month for 2 years of the platinum plan to try this. I paid up front for the 2 years, not sure they issue credits anymore.

My radio is inactive. Still doesn't qualify. I think this only works for older vehicles

I have been a SiriusXM subscriber since 2007 and my subscription expired today. I usually call or do online chat and I decline offers until I get an offer I like. They refused to meet my expectations a few days ago. Therefore now that my service is disconnected, I started a new chat a few minutes ago after signing into my account online. They requested more info from me than ever before. I didn't have it all with me so I had to end the chat. Not sure I will bother trying again. It was ridiculous.

Thanks for posting. Everytime I get tempted to subscribe I see cr@p like you posted. Not sure why then need anything other than VIN or radio ID other than to just make the process of getting a deal really onerous.

Thanks for posting, OP. I've been renewing my subscription annually since 2019 (after my Toyota's trial subscription ended); which, once again, ends in two weeks. Tried this and was only offered the $4.99/month deal, which I've been offered and have accepted since 2019. I tried 3 separate chats for the $3/month deal and finally gave up. Each time was told that this offer "is not available for your radio...". I believe we're done. So long SiriusXM!

2018 Mazda, already had a discounted (but not as good) sub for premium, which I don't use all the extras. Sent a SS of the offer, and I got it applied after updating my radio

Cancelled my $5 for 12 month to try getting this $3 for 36 months, just for them to tell me it's only good for 2016 or older vehicles.
How dare they discriminate against us newer vehicle owners! Big Grin.
Looks like i'll be using Amazon music in my vehicle, until they come along with the same deal for newer vehicle owners.

Was offered $3 for 12 months, declined, canceled and expired yesterday, tried to signup again through link today no go says not eligible. Contacted chat and they were able to add the same promo to my account.

I think it's hilarious people are still giving them money. SiriusXM decided decades ago their customers don't matter. They haven't updated their infrastructure in decades. I mean, if you like listening to low bitrate mono audio in your car..........
exactly
