Decent spec, but as always the base RAM is disappointing

no it doesnt - thats blatantly untrue. And you also dont understand this is NOT like a windows 16gb. 8gb is sufficient for most people with apple unified chips.so 16gb is enough unless you do major video editing

Chrome uses 300mb per tab at most. So go ahead and open 50 tabs…..

This has been debunked many times, just do a simple Google Search in unbiased sites, when using a Mac with 8GB of RAM just using Chrome it swaps just as hard as Windows. You can even look up videos on this issue, and that's why people are mad at Apple for offering Macbook PRO with 8gb of RAM, which is unacceptable for a PRO model.
