I know this might be pointless for some, but Menards has the same saw at the same price as Amazon +11% mail-in rebate, bringing the price down to $266.11.

Anyone have experience with this?
I am very happy with my Metabo cordless set and was very interested in this, but those reviews on Amazon scared me away. Don't want to drop $300 on a saw with alignment & slider issues.

Just bought this. It's a beast. No issues with power. Very heavy. Don't expect to move it around without a stand or dolly. Love it so far

I've had this for a couple years and it's been great for home diy use. Haven't done any fine woodworking so I'm not sure about accuracy issues. But so far been very happy with this mounted on a Ridgid universal rolling miter saw stand

Can this be upgraded to "shadow cut"?

I have this saw and it is not that great honestly. The warranty is great and I replaced mine but the new saw has exactly the same problems
1) the break stopped working as it worked when new - sometimes it is working fine, sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometimes it works like 5 seconds later
2) the weight of the sliding thing gets stiff at some time and you literally have to put a lot of lubrication. Something gets off because when I pull the saw little bit up from the slider, it slides smoothly

I 3 saws - this one, dewalt and ryobi. I think it is the best from all of them and for this price you can't get anything better. As a hobbyist I can't justify festool or bosch :/

Off the bat, the Rigid R4222's arm slides back, which is common with sliding miter saws. This Metabo's arm is fixed and the motor and blade slide on it, similar to Festool but I wouldn't otherwise compare it to a $1,500+ saw. The fixed arm means it takes up a LOT less space front to back. Not a big deal if you're using them outside but if you want to keep it indoors, it makes it much easier to build into a miter saw station.

It's not that great but the best out of the 3 you own?

It's better than a Dewalt, but "it is not that great honestly"? What rinky dink Dewalt miter saw do you have that you're stacking it up against?

I got dewalt from a contractor, abuser tool. I sold it because I wanted something better for more fine woodworking and this saw was on sale at Lowe's a few years ago.
