I have had a pair in the past and feel as if they were not worth the value. The creases around the toe box eventually turned to tiny tears. The sole near the front end of the boot started to separate. And this was within 3 months. I used the boots for serving and although fashionable, weren't very durable. My solovairs have held up for years and still almost look the same.
Was a little confused what "RT3 Last" meant on the Captain or President, so did some quick digging. Apparently this is the specific foot shape mold they used sometime around June 2022 ~ Aug 2023 to improve comfort on wider feet, but gave the shoe a more bulbous toe look.
Short story is many ppl didn't like the look compared to the original more pointed shape called "True Last", which were a bit narrow for some, so the newest "Kingmaker Last" solves the issue by being wider while keeping the pointier look.
Thursday has a page on all of their Lasts: https://thursdayboots.com/pages/mens-last-guide, which even says themselves "Although not the most aesthetically pleasing, the RT3 is widely considered a well-fitting last great for long days on your feet."
Google "RT3 vs Kingmaker" for some comparison pics. Honestly, it's pretty minor difference and really all down to personal preference. Just beware what you're getting since the Warehouse Sale listings don't seem to use accurate pictures, and it's no return/final sale.
How dare they make boors for fashion and not work!

Some of the cheapest MADE IN THE USA boots you can find. The Vangard in Dark Roast with jeans look fantastic. With the Captain in natural was in sale, been waiting. These and Helm boots are my go to dress boots.
What are the chances they lower the prices even more? Anyone know if they have in the past to clear everything out?
I've bought two boots and one sneakers in the last 2 years and have been following them for 3. Never did I ran into a discount until this one. if there is a deeper one, it must be super elusive.
I agree, nice looking boots but that's about it.. For the cost to quality, I'll say pay a little more for something like red wing boots
Redwing doesn't make anything that compares to these.
And before you go "But the Iron Rangerssss!!" no, they are much wider. Would not dress up either of my pairs of IR's, but you can easily do so with Presidents.
Obviously, the IR's are better for work. It's for a different market.
Hard to multi quote on phone to me but to the multiple replies, yes, rw are more for hard labor work but they do have some more "fashionable" which are not the hype but at the end, provides some sort of protection..
My Thursday boots get easily chipped and scraped at the sole and the feel is not good sturdy fit.
If rw really bothers that much on fashion which I can see, there is always Edmonds and a handful other business dress casual brands that look as good and possible cheaper.
IMO, the quality to price point just not there like how it's advertised.
Boot snobs triggering post alert: Stop comparing these to anything else above this price bracket. Of course there is always going to be a better quality boot when you get to $400 and beyond. Even Allen Edmonds are crap compared to a $2k pair of custom hand made boots. You will not find a hand made boot that can be resoled for under $200, and that is what Thursdays boots offer... entry level hand made boots. I own 4 pairs but I don't expect them to outperform anything about its price point. I also own Grant Stone and Truman which those are the next step up from Thursdays with double the sticker price. Level your expectations. Thursdays are very comfy footwear that can be dressed up/down.

It isn't just a little bit more to jump from the $199 Thursday boot range to the $300+ range of Red Wings. For the price it's fairly good and they haven't raised the price unlike other brands. They are also pretty transparent on the materials used and how they are made. Not bad for about $199.
Never owned a pair. Would've bought them but final sales turns me away.
I have a pair of matte black captains that's held up well over the months so far.
I ordered a pair of their brown storm king captains, and they arrived with stitching defect, where the stitching didn't penetrate completely and was unraveling.
Even though it was a final sale, they still honor replacements for defects... However they didn't have the same size and style boot to send me a replacement, so we agreed on the next closest style.
They also did not request I return the boots, so I didn't have to deal with the "hassle" of a return. I didn't mind to return, but OK I guess.
