Found these gloves in the tool area in a big box marked down to $2.83. There were other Milwaukee branded gloves on clearance too, thinner ones. YMMV but if you needed or wanted some, or were buying them for a group or team of folks then this is a fantastic deal. These might be a little thick for summer work, but they had others available too.

I have a pair of these. They're really nice for things like pulling spikey weeds while the weather isn't too hot yet.

Really like these, but prefer the Level 1 version for most things because they still allow for some tactile feel. They're a perfect halfway point between a warm winter glove and a work glove. Should go without saying, but don't use them indoors or when its warm out though, they get miserably hot! I grabbed them as the easiest thing and learned that lesson. They're well worth it at $10/pair.

That's exactly what I need to do, so the weed spikes don't penetrate the rubber/latex coating on these gloves?

Correct. If there's something super spikey like a goat head then it might poke through, but the little thorns on the stalk of the tall weeds don't stand a chance.
